Take On Greens
Are you surprised to see broccoli, kale and other vegetables in a Beauty Section? Don’t be! There is a very big influence of different colors of vegetables and fruits on our Health and Beauty. As I wrote in my article “The Three Wails,” Health is one of the components of Beauty.
This time I want to give my attention to the Green Colored vegetables and fruits, and their input in our Beauty.
First, Greens consist vitamin C, one of the biggest antioxidant that keeps skin younger-looking by fighting free radicals which promote premature aging from sun damage, oxygen and pollution. To say “Yes” to Vitamin C means to say “Yes” to boosting collagen production for firmer plumper skin, to brighter complexion and to reduction of inflammations.
Second, all green vegetables and fruits have a chlorophyl, which gives plants their green color. This chemical compound is very good for the immune system, blood, teeth and bones. It takes away toxins from your system, keeping your organism toned.
Third, the healthiest fats are in green-colored fruits: avocados and olives (including extra virgin olive oils). They are a source of our energy and vitality, making our hair, nails and skin healthier.
So next time look at your plate if there any Greens in there…. And then look at the mirror: Your face and body will tell you all!
